The Bavarian Motor Works or BMW have already come to a point of proving its worth as a top and leading brand when it comes to producing world-class automobiles. Started in the year 1913, the BMW have never stopped manufacturing celebrated and high-performing cars such as the BMW 2002. The BMW 2002 is one of BMW’s most notable models up to this date. It is also one of BMW’s pride and most respected cars as it attracted hundreds of thousands BMW 2002 owners and other car enthusiasts. It had its first public appearance in the year 1968.
The BMW 2002 is designed to be a two-door sports sedan founded upon the four-door BMW 1600, hence leading BMW’s reputation for compact sporting sedans. Though the BMW 2002’s production life span is only 2 years short of a decade, it is such a privilege to announce that the admired BMW 3 Series came from this model as a predecessor. Whatever the 3 Series showcases, the BMW 2002 has definitely contributed something to it. What even boosts this BMW pride is the fact that in the American market, the BMW 1600 and 2002 combination was remarkably excellent. With the compact two-door body blending with the reliable torque, 100 horsepower, and 2-liter engine, resulted to an incomparable performance during its time to the point of discontinuing the production of the 1600-2ti.
The BMW 2002 model had a three-door Touring model but was not a full station wagon and taking some modern terms into consideration can also be called hatchback. The Touring model was not offered by the BMW until the 3 Series was produced in the late 1980s. After the Touring model, the BMW 2002 Turbo came in. The 2002 Turbo is the company’s foremost turbocharged car with an increased power of 170 horsepower at 5, 800 rpm with 240 Nm of torque.
