The Buick LeSabre is one of the earliest and long-existing models that
Buick has produced. The Buick LeSabre was born in the year 1959, and is
continuously being sold until now, however, its production will cease
in the 2005 model year in favor of the Buick Lucerne by 2006. Because
the LeSabre has already gone a long way, Buick can claim that it is
absolutely one outstanding vehicle that captured the critical taste and
preference of car adherents and enthusiasts.
The Buick LeSabre is an automobile built by the Buick Motors Division
under the largest automobile manufacturing company named General Motors
Corporation. Together with other automobile brands such as the
Chevrolet, Daewoo, GMC, Cadillac, Pontiac and Saturn, the Buick stands
as front liner brand of the General Motors. Though Buick was able to
produce a number of different and distinct models, coming up with
something that lasts for over five decades of existence like the Buick
LeSabre is absolutely a great accomplishment.
The Buick LeSabre is a full-sized car, an automobile which is
technically larger than a mid-size car because of its wheelbase longer
than 2.79 meters, and interior volume bigger than 120 cubic feet. Of
all the Buick full-sized models, the Buick LeSabre is considered to be
the most affordable vehicle that makes it a smart choice for
prospective buyers looking for cars with huge room and long wheelbase.
The LeSabre was the replacement introduced for the Buick Special which
prior to 1961 was the most affordable car.
The Buick LeSabre also features a full line of body styles in its first
four years of production when the Buick LeSabre station wagon product
was taken off from the Buick's full size automotive line up. In 1977, a
major change took place with the Buick LeSabre and other full-size
models and that was to downsize them.
