It’s no secret that every part of the car has its
own role to portray, from the smallest part up to the largest part.
However, there are parts of the car that we often left unnoticed yet
very essential for it serves an important function. Take for the
example the car bumpers; it is a part of a car intended in allowing one
vehicle to push another and to withstand the impact from any event of
collisions. In other words, they are specifically designed to protect
the body of the car against damage in low-speed collisions, absorbing
crash energy without any damage to the bumper itself.
We can never deny the fact that thousands of low-speed crashes happens
everyday on crowded streets and even in parking lots – the kind of
blows in which effective Dodge bumpers can mean a lot of difference
between lots of costly damage and none at all. Originally, bumpers were
made of heavy steel but later on, it was replaced by constructed
materials using rubber, plastic, or painted light metal that leaves
them subject to damage from even minimum contacts. And for most part,
the vehicles equipped with this kind of bumpers cannot push, or be
pushed by another vehicle.
But since, people are particular to their safety; they opt to have
durable bumpers like the Dodge bumpers made of heavy steel. After all,
to push or be pushed, to survive the impact from collisions is the
number one purpose of Dodge bumpers. For this reason also, few items
have been added to the bumpers of automobiles, pickups, trucks, and
utility vehicles to provide additional protection to the vehicle, they
include the brush guards, push bars, and so on. But above all, there
should be a little distance among the reinforcement bar and the sheet
metal it protects for the bumper to be effective.
