Dodge Charger is back! And it is now ready to charge its way back onto
streets and racetracks with unmatched power that will satisfy the soul
of those who have the deepest passion for it.
Though the name Dodge Charger has been used for some vehicles
in different point in time, it generally stands for a performance model
included in Dodge vehicle range. First released in 1966, Dodge Charger
came as a mid-size American muscle car inspired by the Plymouth
Barracuda and the Ford Mustang. The first Chargers were initially
available with engine choices like base-model 318 ci (5.2 L) V8, 440 RB
engine, 383 B engine and the renowned 426 Hemi. They are teamed with a
five-speed, AutoStick automatic.
The full-size 1968-70 Dodge Charger models feature a
redesigned “flying buttress” fastback and lower-level headlights. The
top-of-the-line Charger R/T model is driven by a 440 “Magnum” cubic
inch (7.2 liter) V8 motor. The 440 engine can generate 375 horsepower
with a single four barrel and 390 horsepower when equipped with three
two-barrels.
Fast forward to the present year. Car enthusiasts have so many things
to celebrate as Dodge introduced the all-new 2006 Dodge Charger. As
Dodge’s hottest revival, the 2006 Charger offers rear wheel drive and
unrivaled Hemi power. Just like the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Magnum,
the 2006 Charger is based on Chrysler’s LX platform. It is available in
one body style, a four-door, five-passenger sedan with a coupe-like
look.
The SRT8 is known to be the most popular and the most alluring Dodge
Charger model. With the utilization of Street and Racing Technology
DNA, the SRT8 is offers exactly what the car aficionados want in their
car. It will give you a one-of-a-kind driving experience with its
powerful performance, precise braking, deluxe ride and handling,
functional and aggressive fascia and race-inspired interior
