If there is a single good attribute that everybody
can say about Dodge vehicles, that attribute would have to be 'power'.
Dodge vehicles have always been known to be powerful and high
performance vehicles, beginning with the capable trucks at the front of
their vehicle line-up to the speedy cars that the company is very keen
on promoting nowadays. This powerful performance, of course, is but the
result of the superior engineering and powerful parts and systems that
every Dodge vehicle is provided with.
One of the many important structures in a Dodge vehicle is the engine
starting system. This system is generally composed of two main
components: the starter solenoid and the starter motor (or simply
starter). The starter solenoid is a large electrical switch which
energizes the starter motor when switched on. The starter motor, on the
other hand, is the main component that starts a cold engine from a long
halt.
The function of the vehicle's starting system may sound very simple,
but starting a cold engine is a task that requires a large amount of
power and an equally large amount of electricity. The Dodge engine
starting system can efficiently and easily perform this function,
though. Parts of a powerful vehicle, one can safely expect Dodge
starters and starter solenoids to perform at their best. Dodge starters
were designed to output large amounts of power while Dodge starter
solenoids were designed to carry high levels of current flow. This is
the reason why Dodge vehicles are capable of starting quickly and
smoothly.
But no matter how powerful they are, Dodge starters and starter
solenoids also incur damages. Through time and constant use, these
components would eventually die out. It is, therefore, important that
you give your starting system a check every once in a while. If your
starter motor wouldn't spin or if it spins at a very slow pace, or if
you don't hear the cranking sound and just hear a click as you turn on
the ignition key, then it is high time that you replace your Dodge
starter unit. This won't be much of a problem, though, as a lot of high
quality replacement Dodge starters are available on the market and it
is especially easy to find one through the Internet.
