The Ford Motor Company has been in the automobile manufacturing and
marketing industry for over a century now and its existence is
characterized by a hundred years of quality service, a hundred years of
high quality Ford vehicles, and a hundred years of high performance
Ford parts. The company has also brought a lot of innovations to the
vehicle industry as a whole, making them one of the respected
establishments in the automobile manufacturing industry then and now.
While the company is among the biggest American auto
manufacturing company today, the Ford Motor Company actually started
with modest beginnings. The company was established by Henry Ford in
June 16, 1903 together with his business associates. A month later, the
first shipment for a Ford vehicle was registered, with a vehicle model
that used the first letter of the alphabet for its name, the Ford Model
A. And while the company has not been successful with the Ford model A,
and neither with the rest of their succeeding vehicle models, the
initial sales gave much hope to the company and encouraged them to do
more. Five years and 19 letters later, the vehicle model that will
change the fate of the Ford Motor Company was born—the Ford Model T.
The success of the Ford Model T have made them become one of the
leaders in the automobile industry and helped them to exist for more
than a century.
Greater contributions to the vehicle industry came even after the Model
T’s demise as Ford also introduced such great classics as the Ford
Mustang and Ford GT. But the company’s greatest contribution to the
automobile manufacturing industry is not a vehicle but rather a
process. The moving assembly line, a manufacturing process first used
by the company in 1913, have made auto assembly more efficient for
them, greatly speeding up the production of vehicles while reducing the
production cost.
Today, the Ford Motor Company continues to be one of the
leading auto manufacturers, providing the world with technologically
advanced vehicles equipped with high quality and high performance Ford
parts. Among the high quality vehicles in their current line-up is the
Ford Focus, Ford Ranger, Ford Mustang, Ford Escape, Ford Explorer, Ford
F-150 and a lot of other vehicle models.
