Geo Storm
Man’s fondness for automobiles prompted every carmaker to create the best possible
and apt cars that would suffice the needs of man. Primarily geared towards the
purpose of taking people to places, several various names of automakers have emerged
and conquered the world of vehicles. Tremendous ups and downs and certain challenges
have further confronted all of the auto manufacturers through time before they
have finally been able to convince every consumer of their own worth.
In lieu of the public’s necessity for affordable yet performance-wise cars, General
Motors has pledged to materialize the availability and additional production of
vehicles that would satiate the needs of the people. Hence, it led to the appearance
of the economic import lineup of cars in the name of Geo. Indeed then the promise
made by one of the largest automakers in the industry has been fulfilled.
Geo vehicles are of the economy import market lineup of automobiles that surely
sufficed the demands of every auto user. Geo is a brand that consists of small
automobiles which later then has been fully developed into several other models
which made a hit in the public. Geo vehicles hence proved the cliché that size
does not matter. They may be small automobiles but they have so much to give in
line with performance. Geo Metro, Geo Spectrum, Geo Tracker, Geo Prizm, and Geo Storm are among the models which marked another excellence for the Geo brand.
The Geo Storm was a small three-door hatchback which was produced and sold from
1990 to 1993. Geo Storm patterns an innovated version of the Isuzu Impulse. Like
that of the Isuzu Impulse, Geo Storm contains a 1.6 L engine in either 95 hp SOHC
or 130 hp DOHC forms. The Isuzu Impulse may have been an outgoing and handsome
sports car yet Geo Storm being a small car has outsold it for some years. Notable
characteristics of Geo Storm include the optional 2-door station wagon body style
and the hatchback production as well which created a wave in the automobile world.
Though Geo Storm has been good in sales it was then discontinued in 1993 and removed
from the Geo line following the demise of the Isuzu Impulse due to its low sales.
