two basic and common repair techniques to which are welding process
which uses a heat and a filter material to repair plastic parts, and
the use of any substance that is capable of bonding any other substance
together by surface attachment called adhesive. Before you can start
with the repair, you should first inspect and analyze the damage which
may be a visible damage, stress cracks or marks, improper previous
repairs, dimensional misalignment, damaged mounting locations or
fasteners and damaged finish to know if you have to do a repair or need
already to replace the bumper cover. Verify also the availability of
replacement parts.
In protecting the bumper cover and adjacent areas, you should use care
when removing or installing bolts or other fasteners, support the
bumper cover during removal and installation, protect the assembly from
damage during storage, and protect adjacent panels during on-vehicle
repairs, and after which, select the appropriate repair method you will
use and determine if the bumper cover must be removed from the vehicle
to perform repairs, then you can already proceed with the repair.
It is advised that you should not install a plastic bumper cover having
unrepairable damage, damaged mounting locations, and improper previous
repairs. For final touch, Inspect a repaired or replaced bumper cover

proper installation of all trim and fasteners, proper fastener torque,
