At times, mid-size vans like the GMC Safari may seem like technological
throwbacks to some people, yet they serve a very real and valuable
purpose to others. What sets the GMC Safari apart is that it is built
larger than minivans without being monstrous. It provides the hauling
power of a full-size van yet has a smaller size which makes them easier
to drive. And it does not only move well with traffic, but has plenty
of power to tackle long hills as well.
The Safari has three
trim levels; they are the SL, SLE, and the SLT. They are available in
the standard rear wheel drive. Through the years, the GMC Safari is
proven to be a great tow vehicle because it ahs the power to deal
comfortably with a trailer weighing 5500 pounds. Its 4.3-liter V6
engine is a real workhorse that carries a lot of torque fro pulling
heavy loads. As a matter of fact, they can tow much heavier trailers
than that of the front-wheel drive minivans. Whether you are carrying
the gang and their gear up to the cottage or hauling your band’s
musical paraphernalia to your next gig, you can count on the Safari, it
has the capability to do it all.
Safari comes with the standard 3 rows in place that can carry up to
eight people, and another 1170 (41.3 cu.ft.) of cargo. What’s more
exciting is that you can remove the 2nd and 3rd row seats to create a
load floor over 2.5 meters long plus you can get a cargo capacity of
4825 L. And yes, when it comes to safety amenities, the Safari has the
most complete safety features that you can rely on. You can drive with
confidence with Safari’s traction-minimizing features such as
four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and all-wheel drive (AWD). Also
included in the list are the dual frontal air bags and LATCH provisions
fro securing child safety seats, the PASSLock security system and the
special front and rear crash zones.
