From GMC's Sonoma came to exist Isuzu's Hombre. The Isuzu Motors Ltd. thought of using and giving a new emblem to the Sonoma as the basis of its coming up with Hombre model from 1996 up to 2000. Latest features for the Isuzu Hombre dealt almost with power and performance improvement such as the increase on its V6 engine by 5 horsepower in two-wheel drives and by 10 horsepower in four-wheel drives, four cylinder models were offered with dual-fuel capability. Aside from those, more variations for the Spacecab Hombres were also added. And to finally, standard heavy-duty suspension was offered and its height were augmented.
