A crossover SUV refers to a vehicle type that combines the characteristics of cars and SUVs. If you are looking for a good example of what the vehicle category really is, then you'll find the best example in the Mitsubishi Endeavor. On the road, the Mitsubishi Endeavor has all the characteristics of a car—steering is responsive, handling and cornering is easy, and drives are not bumpy but comfortable. But unlike most crossover SUVs that are just SUVs by look, the Mitsubishi Endeavor is also capable on the off-road track, although it is meant to be used on the said trail often.

The Mitsubishi Endeavor is a fairly new vehicle, introduced by Mitsubishi only in 2004. The vehicle is a mid-size crossover SUV, conveniently situated in the middle of Mitsubishi's SUV pack, accompanied by the Mitsubishi Outlander, Mitsubishi Montero, and Mitsubishi Montero Sport. Equipped with high quality and cleverly designed and engineered Mitsubishi Endeavor parts, the vehicle can capably perform both its car and SUV function, although it is more inclined to perform as a car or a minivan. Nonetheless, the Mitsubishi Endeavor can act like a real car with the added aggressive look and cargo-carrying capabilities that only an SUV can offer.

Upon introduction in 2004, the Mitsubishi Endeavor was sold in three trim levels, namely the LS, the XLS and the top-of-the-line Limited trim level. All models are equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine that outputs 225 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. All models also come standard with a 4-speed automatic transmission and are available with either two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive system options. Other standard features on all trim levels are 60/40 split folding rear seats, 17-inch alloy wheels, tire pressure monitor, and 4-wheel disc brakes.

With all these Mitsubishi Endeavor parts and features common to all model, it may make you wonder what else is distinct with each trim level. Simply said, though, each Mitsubishi Endeavor trim is just equipped with a lot of features that makes each trim level different. ABS brakes, for example, are standard for the XLS and Limited trims but optional for the LS. The same is true with a lot of other features, including the optional rear DVD system.
