Oldsmobile Delmont 88
As part of the Oldsmobile 88 series which had produced models such the Delta, Dynamic, Jetstar, Starfire, Super, Holiday, L/S, LSS, Celebrity, and Royale, the Oldsmobile Delmont 88 featured 330 V8 in 1967 and the 350 V8 in the following year. The Delmont 88 replaced Dynamic 88 which ran from 1958.
Although the Delmont 88 only ran for two years, the model is worth mentioning. Since the 88 series gained its popularity at the start of the of the second half of the 20th century wherein the vehicle design dramatically evolved, it became one of the trend setters during its' time. The Delmont 88 adopted the new body design. Engine power also became also a factor in every vehicle released in the sixties which made the Delmont 88 a viable choice with its' V8 engine. This equated the power and performance of the vehicle, very competitive during that time.
Delmont 88 interior was also made attractive. Though it was not very luxurious, it was made neat and clean. Another one unique feature of the Delmont 88 was the numerous options that could be added at the vehicle.
The Oldsmobile officially retired the Delmont 88 in 1968 when it was replaced by the Delta 88.
