Plymouth is an American car brand marketed by Chrysler Corporation. It existed in the auto market from 1928 to 2001. Having endured the auto industry's tough competition for many years only proves Plymouth vehicles ' reliability and dependability.
Being the third among entry-level cars like Chevrolet and Ford is not that easy. Yes, the Plymouth brand ranks third among Chevy and Ford, but then before they reached that place, they have suffered many difficulties too. The year 1960 was Plymouth's most challenging year. In this particular year, Plymouth vehicle did not sell well compared to its competition.
Poor design is just one reason why the Plymouth did not do well in 1960s. Fortunately, Plymouth was able to survived this difficulty and in 1970, Plymouth cars became popular again. It continued in 1980s. But then again, because some Plymouth vehicles were less equipped with fewer engine options, they did not lasts that long.
The Conquest is just one of the many short-lived vehicles produced by Chrysler's Plymouth division. Actually, the Plymouth Conquest is one of the Mitsubishi Starion replicas imported and sold by the Chrysler Corporation in the United States from the year 1984 to 1986.
Plymouth Conquest were dropped shortly after three of production because it comes less equipped and performs a bit poorer than its competitors. And in these three years of their existence, not much change has been given to the Plymouth Conquest. Only minor changes were done and major improvements was taken for granted.
