Subaru Forester
The Subaru Forester was first introduced in the US in 1998 with platform and
drivetrain based on the Subaru Impreza. As a lightweight, small crossover SUV,
the Forester joined the long line of vehicle manufacturers trying to manage and
fit in to the SUV market standard. The good thing is, Subaru gave a new alternative
aside from the traditional SUVs that already dominate the present market.
The latest Subaru Forester incorporates good design with engine performance.
The body is virtually composed of non-sheetmetal parts which include the grille,
headlamps, front and rear fascia, taillam,ps, and C-pillar. Seven styles on three
different trim levels are made available for the crossover SUV: the 2.5 X 4dr
Wagon AWD Manual, 2.5 X 4dr Wagon AWD Automatic, 2.5 X L.L.Bean Edition4dr Wagon
AWD Automatic, 2.5 X Premium Package 4dr Wagon AWD Manual, 2.5 X Premium Package
4dr Wagon AWD Automatic, 2.5 XT Limited 4dr Wagon AWD Manual and the 2.5 XT Limited
4dr Wagon AWD Automatic; all has the same 2.5L 4cylinder engine.
The X comes with the standard power windows, air conditioning with air filtration;
locks and mirrors; cruise control; tilt steering; 16-inch wheels and tires; AM/FM/weather
band CD audio; and remote keyless entry. The Premium Package comes with rear disc
brakes, a limited-slip rear differential, alloy wheels, upgraded trim, a power
driver seat, an upgraded audio system, automatic climate control, heated seats
and a power moonroof. The L.L. Bean Edition features a leather-and-wood Momo steering
wheel, unique wheels and exterior trim, leather seats with perforated Alcantara
bolsters, and a self-leveling rear suspension. The more luxurious XT Limited comes
with the leather interior, luminescent sport instruments, a seven-speaker audio
system and aluminum roof rails.
The Subaru Forester is an SUV that drives like a car with turbocharged power
and large cargo room best for long trips, camping, and even just driving around
the neighborhood.
